7 Tracks You Didn't Know Were Co-Written By ALMA

Have you seen her?

Finnish superstar ALMA is currently touring Europe with her headlining tour. She will also join Tove Lo as a support act early next year on the North American leg of Lo’s tour.

In between performing on the stages of the world, the singer-songwriter is also reading the release of her upcoming debut album, titled “Have You Seen Her”. She has already dropped lead singles “Cowboy”, “When I Die” and “Lonely Night” over the course of the year, with more to come.

While we are patiently waiting for the full release, we at CelebMix took a look behind the scenes and investigated what other exciting things ALMA had been up to. Spoiler alert: she has been part of more than one hit song and is able to not only create perfect songs for herself but also for other artists.

We proudly present: the many talents of ALMA.

1. Miley Cyrus – Slide Away (Co-Writer)

ALMA and Miley have written several songs together for her latter’s latest project but we would like to start off with Miley’s freshest release, “Slide Away”. Written with Mike Will Made It and Andrew Wyatt, the two artists have crafted a heartbreaking piece of music, detailing the deterioration of a relationship. “Slide Away” is taken as a single from Miley’s upcoming album “She is Miley Cyrus”.

2. Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus & Lana Del Rey – Don’t Call Me Angel (Co-Writer)

Another hit in the basket for ALMA: the lead single off of the remake’s soundtrack was co-written by ALMA with the artists as well as Max Martin, ILYA and Savan Kotecha. “Don’t Call Me Angel” has so far reached #2 in the UK and #13 in the US.

3. Olivia Holt – Bad Girlfriend (Co-Writer)

“Cloak & Dagger” star Olivia Holt returned two weeks ago with this fantastic piece of pop music. Catchy and uplifting to the max, “Bad Girlfriend” is sure to shake off the autumn blues for everyone. It should have come as no surprise that ALMA is credited as co-writer here. Other writing credits include

4. Lindsay Lohan – Xanax (Co-Writer)

THIS was quite the find. Ever since we found out that Lindsay was back in the recording studio, we were thrilled, to say the least. We already knew that jesse saint john was involved with the project and that the song, current title “Xanax”, is sampling the classic “Better Off Alone”. Now that we found out that apparently ALMA was also a part of the creation , we are more than just ready for it to see the light of day.

5. Miley Cyrus feat. RuPaul – Cattitude (Co-Writer)

ALMA has been heavily involved with the creation of Miley Cyrus’ latest EP, titled “SHE IS COMING”. Together with the two artists, as well as the other co-writers Ilsey and Andrew Wyatt, ALMA has created one hell of a female empowerment song. Lots of innuendo and that famous “I love you, Nicki, but I listen to Cardi” line included.

6. Matoma feat. Josie Dunn – Sunday Morning (Co-Writer)

ALMA is known for her big, bold pop sound. On this 2018 release, she showcases once again how good she is at crafting it: “Sunday Morning” will literally give you a quicker and bigger energy boost than any morning coffee could ever give you.

7. Miley Cyrus – Mother’s Daughter (Co-Writer)

Miley Cyrus wants you to not f*ck with her freedom on this standout track off of her latest EP “SHE IS COMING”. ALMA co-wrote the track with the artist and Andrew Wyatt., again showcasing how versatile she is as an artist.

+1 (Honorable Mention): Charli XCX feat. Big Freedia, CupcakKe, Brooke Candy and Pabllo Vittar – Shake It (Background Vocals)

Charli and ALMA have already collaborated officially on XCX’ second mixtape “Pop 2” (“Out Of My Head”). According to a citation on Genius, ALMA has been featured indirectly again on Charli’s latest release: as a background vocalist on the insanely good “Shake It”.

And that was it. For now at least.

Be sure to follow ALMA on her socials and stay tuned for her album to drop soon.

Are you excited about ALMA’s upcoming debut album? Did you know that she co-wrote all of these songs? And if not: which one surprised you the most? Tell us about it @CelebMix.
