On September 10th hit US singer/songwriter Eric Paslay will kick off his UK tour in Glasgow following a performance at the Long Road Festival on Saturday. The run of shows is in support of his new collection ‘Live In Glasgow‘ which will be officially released September 20th and is available to purchase exclusively at his gigs before it drops.

Here we speak exclusively to Eric Paslay to discuss his forthcoming UK tour dates:

Hi Luke, we can’t wait for you to return to the UK this year, how excited are you to be coming back?

I’m always excited to come back to the UK. This will be my fourth tour in the UK in just two years!

These string of dates will be your biggest yet, have you been shocked at the rapid growth of your UK fanbase?

The fans here are amazing and it’s so amazing seeing how fast our shows are growing. It really is great to come back and see familiar faces and new faces in the crowd every time we come back!

Many international acts say that there’s a real hunger for country here in the UK, do you find that to be the case?

There must be a hunger for the music we are making because we keep coming back and fans keep showing up.

How would you describe your relationship with the British country audience?

The fans here in the UK are so excited that we are here. I always try to go out after every show to meet fans. It’s great hearing stories of how people heard my music and great hearing the other shows they have seen from Nashville. 

The new tour is in support of your upcoming live LP, what made you decide to release this album now?

We recorded LIVE IN GLASGOW last summer and it just seemed like the perfect time to release it and celebrate how great my band is while we are back in Europe!

What can fans expect from the record, will there be any surprises on there?

LIVE IN GLASGOW has 4 out of my 5 #1 songs on it. Every show is always a little different and that’s why it was so special to capture a great show and share it with the fans.

With the new tour, what kind of setlist are you going to be putting together?

The setlist for the Nice Guy Tour has a lot of new songs that we have just added to the show and all the fan favorites! So classic Paslay and new songs to come from the project I’m working on that will be released early next year!

Are there any cities you’re really excited about playing at on this run of dates?

I’m excited to play every town that we are going to on this tour. Although this is my 4th tour in Europe, all of the towns are still very new and exciting to see, explore and perform in! 

What kind of production can fans expect on the tour?

I’m privileged to work with an amazing band and crew. The production is lean and mean! You’ll think we have more people backstage! Ha

Do you have a message for your UK fans?

My message to my UK fans is THANK YOU!!! The reason I get to come tour in Europe is because you show up and tell your friends to come to the next show!!! Can’t wait for the tours and memories we will make in the years to come!
