He grew up in Farnham, Surrey, England, United Kingdom.

Slogoman used to hate slugs as a kid and in a weird twist, made his channel logo a slug and picked a channel name that resembled it.

His 1st YouTube channel was titled Oxymorose and had nothing to do with video games.

He met YouTubers Jelly and Kwebbelkop at a Germany Gamescom event in 2014. They later founded a YouTuber group Robust and were supposed to move in together into a house they named Robust Mansion. Slogoman was unable to do so due to his college obligations but visited on weekends.

Slogoman knew his best friend, YouTuber Brad “TheGamingLemon” Leman from a very young age. They attended the same school and lived just streets apart.

Slogoman was very interested in rugby during school and played a plethora of other sports. However, he had to vastly reduce the time dedicated to those activities after 2016, when his YouTube career took off.
