WA Police launch murder investigation after man dies in Rivervale

Homicide detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen a silver Toyota Yaris driving away from a park where a man was fatally stabbed.

Emergency services were called to Peet Park on Sydenham St in Rivervale, Perth, at 3.35am on Saturday, October 21.

A 29-year-old man from Joondanna was found at the park with critical injuries.

It’s understood to the man had been stabbed.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he later died.

Homicide Squad detectives are seeking information as they investigate the death of a man in Rivervale on Saturday 21 October 2023.

Investigators are urging anyone who saw a silver Toyota Yaris that was seen leaving Peet Park after the incident to contact police.

The car was also sighted later on Saturday morning in the suburbs of Carine and Duncraig.

Anyone with information relating to this incident or the whereabouts of the Toyota Yaris, or who was in the vicinity of the park, or who has dashcam vision of the area between 3am and 4am on Saturday is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
